Alex Grossman is a reluctant actor, relentless writer, and dedicated director. Before directing he honed his comedy chops with the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Groundlings, and worked as a writer at famed agencies like Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Butler, Shine & Stern.

His first feature film, Hickey, won best director honors at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival and went on to screen at SXSW. His commercials have played around the world, garnered multiple Lions at Cannes, including three Gold and two Silver Lions at this year’s festival, and tens of millions of views on YouTube. He also claimed the title of most-awarded comedy director at Cannes in 2017.

He once impersonated Sarah Palin on Facebook and shared salmon recipes with thousands of followers until the Wall St. Journal outed him and the account was closed. That was a sad day.
